Colin Williamson of Solihull CC is promoting a new event this summer, details below. If anyone is interested in competing or helping with timing could they please contact Colin.

NEW EVENT FOR 2013
THE SOLIHULL TOUR
Solihull CC Roadies Chrono Tour.
Monday 24 – Thursday 27 June 2013

A Four Evening series of timed short events in 1 week with age group prizes.

£10 to enter the TOUR or £3 per individual event. Road bikes only (No TT bikes/ tri bars or aero helmets)
Riders must complete all 4 events to contest the prizes.

Event 1. Monday 24 June 7pm - 10 timed laps of the Tudor Grange circuit ridden individually with no drafting allowed if caught or passing other riders.

Event 2. Tuesday 25 June 7pm - 5 mile Time Trial on the K36/5 -Wood End Station / Cut Throat Lane / Tythe Barn Lane course.

Event 3. Wednesday 26 June 7pm – 6.5mile Hilly Time Trial on the K37/G which starts on the flyover at the Ullenhall junction of the A.435 and heads north to Branson’s Cross and then turns left to Beoley Lane over Church Hill / left at Icknield Street / left at Ravensbank Drive to the MacDonald’s roundabout where left again onto the Coventry Highway to return and finish on the Ullenhall flyover sliproad at the top of Gorcott Hill on the A.435.

Event 4. Thursday 27 June 7pm – 10mile Time Trial on the K1/10 Knowle to Five ways & return course.

Results, refreshments & prize giving on Thursday evening at the Red Lion Knowle after the last event.

Age groups in 5 year groups except juniors in 2 year age groups below 18. Male & Female prizes according to entries received.
