Club 25 champs Wednesday 17th K34/25c

Post by Patch » 16 Jul 2013 06:58

It's that time of year again. This could be really closely contested, if the right people come out to play. Steve, Paddy, Ed ??? I know Gary's out I'm bringing him.

This is a nice course to ride some lumps and corners and stuff all makes it interesting.

Should be no confusion over course this week I think we all know where it is.

See you tomorrow.

Unfortunately last nights 25 Champs had to be cancelled due to unforseen roadworks on the course I will now look at available dates and post proposals by the weekend
Brian TT Sec

Availiable
10th August Echelon/VTTA Midland K34/25
17th August Coventry CC K10/25P
These are both Open Events and require entry at least 13 Days in advance Internet entry is available & can be found at http://ctt.org.uk/Default.aspx?&gv514__ ... __gvfl3=10
My suggestion would be for 10th August as it is our local course

10th is best for me and I suspect a few others - the 17th clashes with the Belbroughton Audaxes...

Congratulations, Steve.

I see that everyone's times are well outside their PBs. Is is a hard course? Was it a hard day?

I don't know about that George, I set a PB by well over 2 minutes but it was only my 2nd 25mile TT & the first was on this course on a windy day in May.

There was a few factors that conspired to make it a slow day, in fact only 17 riders made it under the hour. As we know it is not a fast course it was also a breezy day with a lot of traffic on the road, and also not to forget that although it is our regular course the start had to be altered which was at the bottom of the hill instead of the top. Also our club 25 is only 24.5 miles long so i suggest that needs to be looked at.

Well done on the PB Martin - great ride! btw you asked in passing about how old you had to be to be eligible to join the VTTA (after I was given a leaflet from one of the organisers) - apparently only 40! Anyone recommend joining this?

Congratulations, Martin. It didn't cross my mind that you hadn't previously been faster, because I think of you as someone who's capable of going well inside the hour. 3.5 minutes down on Ed (who, when at his best and riding a fast course, can do a 52) is a good ride.
