Club TT Weds 7th May K34/10

Post by RichK » 04 May 2014 09:52

The next club TT is our first Wednesday evening ride of the year. This takes place on the 10 mile K34/10 course next Wednesday 7th March at 7:00 pm.

Sign on at Longbarn Village

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.231682,-1.896222,16z

Please allow time to get from there to the start.

Roadworks : There are currently a set of temporary (3 way) traffic lights out on the course (the toll has has been crashed into). According to the H&WCC site - these are due to be finished on Tuesday (6th). Unfortunately, that does mean we risk a last minute cancellation if they're not finished on time.

Just driven along the course this afternoon. There are now two sets of lights. The second set has a very big hole in the ground with it. They are about 3km apart. Not looking good!

Route and Start Location?

Post by PhilG » 06 May 2014 19:10

Not sure what is going on, but I am unable to gain anything useful from either of the links.

Could someone confirm that the route is the same as on this link:

Also, the link for the start does not work for me either. If the sign on at a pub?

[I'll check for an update on roadworks before I leave tomorrow.]

Phil

That map looks good to me. Sign on is at Longbarn Village - about a mile (ish) before the finish on the B4090 (Alcester Heath).

Lights by the tollhouse were still there yesterday and still shown on the HWCC website (with an estimated finish date of today) so, unfortunately, it's going to have to be a last minute decision.

Apologies to all for the last minute cancellation tonight and big thanks to Eric for turning up for timekeeping.

Hopefully next week will be more successful.
