Beacon Open 10 Sat 14th May 2016

Post by Patch » 05 Apr 2016 13:40

The clubs open 10 is fast approaching. I have a few jobs I need volunteers for.

Observer/Club Rep at start.
Pushing Off at the start
Number spotting at finish.
Broom Wagon Car
Car Park attendants 2 probably

If you want to do these let me know.

This is in addition to marshalling.

If you want to Marshall let Dave Cole know. He usually organises the marshals.

The Open 10 is an important event in the club calendar. I'm still looking for some volunteers.
Also club members are encouraged to enter the event to fly the flag. Currently there are only a couple of Beacon entries.

Oversubscribed event! Wow. I think the TT the following day on K11/10T is similarly popular.

Have a good one. Just a pity I can't make it.

I would just like to say a very big thank you to all the volunteers at yesterday's event. Without your help it would be impossible to put it on. The day went very well. I will be publishing the result sheet shortly but I can report at this time that our own Jessica tied for first place in the ladies event and I think Richard Bussel did a course record.

Again thank you helpers

I'd also like to add my thanks to everyone that helped put this event on and make it a great success. There are so many people who give up their time across the year to help put on our wide range of events and for those of us riding them, we are massively grateful - it always feels like a privilege to be able to ride them in Beacon colours and be proud of how we come together as a club in staging the events.

Congratulations to Jess and Richard. Great rides, both. Out of interest, does anyone know how long before this year it had been since a Beacon rider won the event?

Like to add my thanks as well to all that gave up their time really great event and a great advert for the club. Frankly I don't feel worthy half the time

As a foot note for the second TT running I had a member of another club remark that the Beacon really have the coolest kit , especially the black away kit
