Post by Simon Dighton » 20 May 2016 07:31

Some new names topping the handicap results for this race as Amarajit and Ian have to fight against all their PB's from last year. Congrats to Neil on a PB of comfortable ober a minute. Dave gains just over 12 seconds off his time as a super VET. League tables to be put up once I hvae done the results from the Janet Kelly

Simon - thanks for working out the handicap times.

Assuming it takes the handicap off the actual time I think mine should be 18:25 and Gavin's 19:48. Unless I'm being a bit thick - which is highly probable.

I think what's happened here is that because you don't have a previous time for the course, you have been given the standard "newcomer" handicap, but with that you're restricted to the course base time (20:00). The good news is, you now have a time and get a proper handicap time next week.

You need to be a bit more savvy Colin. Make sure that you turn in a below par ride for the first event then beat it incrementally over the coming weeks. It gives you a big boost in the H/C times. That is why I only did a 23:17 instead of the long 19 that I could obviously could have done. Look and learn, Colin, look and learn.
