The closed circuit TT champs take place on Sunday 15th Oct, at Thruxton motor circuit. I haven't done it before but it looks fun - 4/5 laps of the motor circuit (obviously no cars!), 11.8 miles long. Xav, Gemma and I have entered - is anyone else up for it?

Dan Newns, Gemma Johnson, Simon Dighton, Xavier Disley and I all raced at the RTTC closed circuit champs at Thruxton motor circuit today. 5 laps of the circuit, total 11.7 miles / 18.8 km - 2/3 of the course with a tailwind of sorts, followed by a short but painful hill into a headwind each lap. Great to race on a closed circuit, the course was nice and flowing with fairly sweeping bends so not particularly technical - definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn't like the idea of dual carriageway TTs for next year!

Dan even got selected for random drugs testing! Out of 208 men and 60 women, results and placings are below:

Dan Newns - 28.05 - 141st man
Gemma Johnson - 28.30 - 24th woman
Simon Dighton - 27.02 - 100th man
Xavier Disley - 26.26 - 75th man
Jess Rhodes-Jones - 26.50 - 7th woman

I haven’t heard anything back which is good news, they said I would only hear something if I fail.
