National Hillclimb Championships

Fantastically we have 4 Beacon riders on the start sheet for the Nationals on the 28th - Myself, Jess Rhodes-Jones, Mark Patton and John Hunt. Amazing!
As most know by this point the Nationals are no longer being held on Shelsley Walsh but up on Pea Royd Lane in Stocksbridge. While a little out-of-the-way (to put it lightly!) for spectators I will say that this will definitely be an amazing event to watch. Apart from the size of the field (300 riders!) the course is utterly brutal - 0.7km at an average of 15.9% with two nasty turns thrown in for good measure. Its going to be a right snorter!
