The route for Sunday's A run;

https://www.strava.com/routes/1616405

Out via St Kenelms and Sheepwalks. Feed station at Arley Arboretum, after which we'll cross the Severn on the footbridge, descend on Bewdley before looping round by Heightington and Dunley way, crossing the Severn again Stourport. From there, we'll bypass the usual plod back through Hartlebury, Chaddersley Corbett and Belbroughton and instead take in Cutnall Green, Elmbridge and Dodford, heading north to return to Brum via the much loved Quantry Lane.

I was going to join you at the Black Horse this morning, till I just looked at the route out and noticed that you intend going up Rose Hill. After yesterdays ride I wouldn't make it up there so I'll maybe meet up with you by the Tardebigge?

Three years ago, almost to the day, I turned up at the Black Horse for the first time on a Sunday morning and joined the A run to Arley Arboretum. I remember some of the other riders in attendance and some of the route. But most of the painful memories of that day have been erased by some kind of psychological block. I do recall the the demonstration of the inadequacies of my fitness levels as I was dropped multiple times and my very basic bicycle mechanic skills being exposed by multiple calls of "mechanical" and much rolling of the eyes.

To celebrate, I led a small group to Arley, consisting of a hardy bunch who weren't going to let the early morning drizzle and the blustery conditions put them off;

Toby Draper (L)
Keith Adcock
Steve Philpott
Nick Shenton

Gary Macintosh rode independently and joined us at the cafe

Today's B run, small...compact and thankfully uneventful (troublewise). Riders were:

James Tate (L)
Claire Fudge
John Soady
Robert Wade

We only got a little bit wet despite riding under heavy, black clouds all day.

Chris Ankorn
Simon Turner

Huan Dong
Andy Wrightson

Jane Jerrin
