I find myself struggling to meet a work deadline and could really do with working most of the weekend to make up time.
Can anyone who is due to lead a B run in the next couple of weeks swap with me? Alternatively, can someone else step into the breach this weekend, and I'll do the next free weekend (13/12)?
I haven't yet booked the café, so you aren't obliged to stick to the planned destination if you take over. However, if you want to stick to it, I can provide a GPX file as a starting point for your route planning.
Sorry to be a pain.

I am willing to lead the B Run tomorrow.
If George provides a route then I may do Alcester, if not it will probably be Charlecote.
I'll post again by 7pm tonight with a definite destination and possibly a route.
I am hoping that it won't be icy in the morning - if it is then I will be open to more suitable routes / destinations.

I think Simon Turner is planning on leading a C run, his first. I offered to help him navigate if he gets lost. To either Lavender Hall fishery or Berryfields Farm shop depending on how many people there are (Berryfields can't cope with larger groups )Dave Cox wrote:I will be at the Black Horse tomorrow for the C run. Happy to lead but if will choose destination on the morning depending on conditions.
Frosty tonight but well above freezing by daytime so frost pockets on minor roads a steady approach

I have a route for Alcester:

52 miles, 2,750 feet of climbing. This is my first "original" club run route, done entirely from ridewithgps.com, so fingers crossed!
I don't propose booking a café in Alcester as there are several.
If it is icy I will use Phil Whiteman's Cob House Fisheries route out, and a.n. other route back.

The route today was deliberately different, and the first half was relatively hilly. Unfortunately Sam found the hills too much of a challenge and decided to turn back, though we were willing to wait.
The roads were surprisingly ice free and I set a brisk pace to ward off the cold. Apart from the cold it was a great day to be out cycling, with some good views.
The route back was less hilly, but involved the inevitable climb back into Birmingham.

Many thanks Keith and the guys. A most enjoyable ride with a perfectly civilised pace and excellent lack of shenanigans.
Very glad I overcame my icy phobia as the conditions were in fact rather nice, I was actually a bit warm on the way back.....
A warning to all, there's a pile of mud on the road at the top of the climb out of Drayton worry of Sven Neys, dodgy !
