I'll respond to your kind offer and volunteer to lead the A-run this Sunday and demonstrating a total lack of new imagination will suggest Tewkesbury as a venue.
This will be at Coffee#1 on the High street so bring a cafe lock if you have one. We're only a couple of weeks away from Christmas where excessive food and drink will be consumed so come along to this weeks' club runs and pedal away 2,000-3,000 calories in the fresh air rather than stare at your garage wall listening to popular beat combos

This is the proposed route to Tewkesbury. It's fairly flat after Rose Hill, so still aim to back in Brum at the normal times...

If it's wet or I'm Billy No-mates, I'll divert to a nearer café.

I've picked up a few more details about Meriden - The Heart of England Cycling Club Carol Service will be held at 1300hrs at St Laurence Church, Meriden. The village hall will be open before the service at 1200hrs.
What I am planning to do is stop at Lavender Hall en route so people can fuel up and return from there if they wish. I think we might need lights on the way back as a precaution it was very murky yesterday by 2.30!

It was quite a good turn out for such a wet, cold and generally miserable day.
Spirits remained high and Paul was his usual cheerful self.
Service at the SVR cafe was dire to say the least with staff having 2 speeds, slow & stop!
On today's "Miserable" B Run to Bewdley were:-
Nick "Shifter" Shenton (L)
Neil Orchard
George "New Boy" Lazenby
Matt "Croix De Fer" Clegg
Paul "Cheerful" Johnson
James "Broken Kneecaps" Tate
Vince Tenant
Robin "Gnasher" Kirkham
Minor apologies for misleading you into thinking it was a flat route. You should all know me by now!

...and on a drizzly, mizzly sort of morning, the darkness of the day was only lifted by the chippiness of today's A-riders.
In an early pincer movement planned to perfection, we managed to jettison Matt Regan in textbook style (sorry about that, Matt) leaving these magnificent seven to make it to the cafe:
Phil Richards (leading)
Phil Whiteman
Ian Taylor
Keith Adcock-Taylor
Chris Ashford
Nic Vipond
Alistair Hey
...and at the cafe Lisa and Tomble.
