Club runs - 20th March
So the sunny weather on Sunday was a blessed relief after a few weeks of wind and rain, and it was clear that Beacon cyclists were out and about on a variety of outings, but even though other events were going on, there were still 23 riders out on club runs.
This weeks rides are:
A: Volunteer required
B: Albrighton - Nick Shenton (meet at 08:15, 08:30 leave)
C: Worcester Country Park - John Deeley
Note earlier start for the B-run...if leaders want to do this, please do so...it sounds a good idea to get home earlier...or even get home at the same time but do longer rides, particularly as some members are building up to the 300kms club run in May

Andy, this was the route I'd got planned for Sunday
http://www.strava.com/routes/4362145
When I originally posted to lead, part of my reasoning for Worcester country park was that it was somewhere we hadn't been for some months (and last time we arrived it was closed due to a burst water main!) and they always seem to accommodate us no matter what size group we are. However I hadn't realised that Colin was going to Croome Park the week before and Dave Cox had taken us to Evesham 2 weeks ago both going out via the usual route of Barnt green/Tardebigge. In order to mix it up a little bit, I've got a sort of figure of eight route via Saint Kenelms, , Belbroughton, Wychbold, Hanbury, Crowle, and then back via Droitwich, timberhonger, catshill etc.
Hopefully you can intercept us at some point

On today's B Run to the Spiders Web at Albrighton were:

Paul Johnson
Andy Wrightson
Andy Deere
Alistair Hey
Neil Orchard
Vince Tenant
Steve Philpott
Nathan Cardo
Neil Lynch
Kyle Gattier
Paul Watkins
Andy Clayton also joined us from the Black Horse but peeled off before the cafe stop.

A good turnout for this mornings c run which had an unscheduled lumpy detour before Saint Kenelms (a malfunctioning Garmin to blame or more likely user error!). A busy cafe greeted us at Worcester country park but service was reasonably quick.
We spilt up on the return waiting for Dave Little at Bournheath who had been accompanying James. Conflicting views as to whether Dave and James were in the front group or behind us ensued but cleared up when Dave arrived at the Black Horse a few minutes behind us. Many thanks for the rear gunner duties Dave.
Out today were
John Deeley (Lead)
Dennis Snape
Helen Jamieson
Simon Turner
Dave Little (sweeper)
Claire Fudge
Si Walker
Leonie Balter
Dave Cox
Phil Elwell
James Wilson
Mark Russell
Mark McConkey
Mark Gardner
Mike Balenski
joining us at the cafe and getting his orders in early was George Barker

Dave, apologies, although I take no responsibility for the performance enhancing substances inhaled outside the Black Horse this morning nor Helen pushing me all the way up to Frankley BeechesDave Cox wrote:Thanks John for leading today great route out but I was a bit worried about hitting max heart rate before leaving Northfield - settled down later!
