Has anyone flown with a bike in place of hold luggage (i.e. Not specifically booked as 'sports equipment') on an easyJet flight? I'm planning on packing my bike in a correx plastic box, weighing less than 20kg overall & within the length x height x width restrictions for a normal 20kg suitcase, for a flight to Majorca in march, and not making it obvious that it is a bike. Potentially being a bit of a cheapskate but 20kg hold luggage is £40 and sports equipment is £70 return.
Has anyone done this before & if so, did you have any problems at all?
Thanks
