RTTC Classic series

Post by Lapin » 09 Jan 2018 10:53

Last year i rode 2 of the 6 Knight Composites classic series, of which the LMTT is one. I'm definitely putting in an entry for the Buxton CC event at Longnor again but would like to go to at least one more this season. As I'm not really built for flat TTing these mountain TT events hold some appeal!

Here's the list:
1) 30th March: Buxton CC J8/3 (Longnor)
2) 8th April: 3C Cyclexperience P163/8.9 (Norleywood, South coast)
3) 15th April: Beacon RCC LMTT
4) 13th May: GTR Return to Life WW17/01 (Around Loch Leven)
5) 27th May: Border City Wheelers L143X 2 (Near Penrith)
6) 9th Jun: RTTC National Circuit Champs

Not too fussed about 6 or 2 but number 5 looks very tempting (especially with how easy it is to get to Penrith on the train from Brum). 4 looks great but its a heck of a way away...

If anyone would like to help share the details of the LMTT with people who might be interested in entering, I've created a Facebook event using the club page, including links to the four category entry pages: https://www.facebook.com/events/2037473563137863/.

Just entered now! :) anyone else up for this one? It's the first in the classic series - 2 laps for women and vets, 3 for men - a cool hilly course that will be equally fun on a TT or road bike

I’ve also entered, will be driving from Brum and have room for additional bikes if anyone needs a lift.

I could very well do with a lift Ian if its ok to bagsy the space? Would you have room for a folding turbo as well?

John has persuaded me to take my TT bike this time, although I'm having to sort out some lower gears for that climb...
