Newport Track Session - Saturday 29th December

Post by AlanW » 16 Nov 2018 11:39

6pm to 9pm

Its a beginner / intermediate session and first time riders are actively encouraged.

I have provisionally booked this slot but I can only hold it for a few days before I have to commit. Ideally I need 25 people to make it happen and to keep the costs down.

I have opened it up to other groups as well to try and make sure we get the numbers required. Please reply if you are interested, thanks.

I did look at organising a session at Derby, but I have a love hate relationship with their booking system, but more hate to be fair!! Plus, they were roughly £100 per hour more expensive than Newport

You may need to create an account first on the PDQ Coaching website in order to view the on line diary.

Yes Pete, the intermediate session is full with reserves, and the begineers session has just a couple of spaces left l believe.

But I have had to open the session to others in order to get the numbers so confirm the slot.

Hi Charles, lm pretty sure that all the spaces are taken. But to double check and stake your claim as a reserve in the event that people drop out, go to the PDQ Coaching website make an account. It's just your name and address.

You can then access the on line booking diary for all of the track sessions. Go to the 29th December and it will tell you about the sessions and if it's full or not.

Using PDQ to book the sessions is so easy and a lot less stressful than organizing it yourself. Plus it's cheaper than booking via the velodrome.

Thanks to all those that attended the track session at Newport last night.

A huge congratulations and well done to all the first timers, hopefully you enjoyed your first experience on the track?

And a big thank you once again to Jason for a quality session.

Is there a plan to choose another one of their sessions and book again on mass?

I would like to join you, but at some point towards the end of the month I have to return my son and all his Uni stuff back to Cardiff. So if the dates don't clash then I'm in. :D

Sadly I wont have room for my bike and all his stuff otherwise I could have done both at the same time. :x

I'm booked on Sunday 3rd March 5pm beginner/novice with my son, both in the novice group. For "those who've done less than 10 track sessions".

I am also going on the 24th Feb 1900 intermediate/ expert. Did yesterday's intermediate session. The pace on the intermediate session as part of the longer three hour intermediate/ novice session was much easier than last night's 😉
