Sorry for the late notice, but I've finally mustered my courage and will give it a go at leading a gentle short ride.
This will be a relatively short ride bearing in mind how late in the season we are, 42 miles. Approx 3 hours ride with no coffee break.
We'll be heading South - South East, so will not be too hilly compared to rides towards the Wyre forest.
Route will be BH - Barn Green - Tanworth in Arden - Wotton Waven - Lowsonford - Packwood - Earlswood - Wythall and back to BH
If you want to download the route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/34178491

Bear in mind the leader and his first partner in mischief are a bit out of shape this year so pace is going to be C (and no longer B like last year when they were at the peak of their glory  ) something like 13-14 mph average (and 5 mph when uphil  )

Meeting at the BH from 9:16am for a departure at 9:30 sharp.

Took part:
Cedric Gioan (L)
Kamran Anwar
John Docherty
Huan Dong

You're in John. Looking forward to riding with you.
The more riders the better, more manpower to push me when it goes uphill !

I created a route based on a usual 'backbone' with as much country lanes as possible. A few hills (we unfortunately do not leave in the Netherlands :( ) but nothing major.
Have no fear, I am a snail in the hills. The courageous young studs can whizz by and wait for us at the top, I'll just go at my old grandpa pace.

Many apologies, but I’m not feeling 100%. In the current environment, better that I pass on this one and let someone else take my place if they see this in time. Many apologies and hope you have a great ride!

Sorry to hear that. Get well quick. No worries, there was still one space left so nobody missed out

You did not. No worries. We're always slower on the way back and we did the forecasted average anyway.
