PLACES AVAILABLE - Sunday 18 October C-B run to Broadacres Fishery

Post by George » 13 Oct 2020 11:03

I had coming Sunday reserved for riding tandem with Roger for the first time since the virus struck. For various reasons, however, that's not going ahead. So I'll repurpose my route and lead a quick C/slow B run (approx 23kph/14mph) to Broadacres Fishery. 70km/44mi largely on back lanes with a moderate amount of climbing, but nothing too severe. Standard 09:15 departure from the BH, with meet-up a few minutes before that. Forecast is currently for a cool, calm overcast day, with <10% risk of rain. I'll be riding a slow bike with mudguards and definitely not pushing it.

PS, for anyone not already aware: Broadacres Fishery has plenty of outdoor seating (beer garden-style tables and benches). Therefore there is nothing to stop Birmingham residents meeting there in groups of up to six.

Good to have you along, Nigel. You seemed to take it in your stride easily enough. B run soon, I reckon.

Beautiful cool, misty morning under the turning leaves in the Worcestershire lanes. Thanks for your company everyone.

All present and correct as per start list.

Few more miles in the bank and I’ll definitely be up for a B ride!
