Intro Ride Sunday 6 March

Post by George » 28 Feb 2022 09:15

This coming Sunday, 6 March, Matt and I will be leading an introductory ride of 48km/30mi with a café stop at Rowberry's Garden Centre, Chaddesley Corbett. We'll go at the pace of the slowest rider, which is typically 16-20kph/10-12mph. It'll be a fun, sociable ride through some pretty Worcestershire lanes. Ideal for people who already do a bit of cycling but are new to organised group cycling (or returning after a break). For full details and the route, see:
http://beaconrcc.org.uk/march-2022-intro-ride/

We can take up to six newcomers. Please put your names down below, message me on the usual social media, or e-mail george [at] beaconrcc [dot] org [dot] uk.

Expected participant list (as of 21:25 Saturday):
George Barker
Matt Hale
Marc Hawes
Kouros Karbashi

Hi George,
I'll potentially be able to assist with the ride...returning from injury, so could be a good test. Happy to confirm once more details are added

Thanks, Matt. Sorry to hear about the injury. Hope it was nothing too serious. After a quiet January, when I was able to get a few things done, I've been pretty busy on the work front throughout Feb, so I'm hopelessly late getting info out about this ride, which might affect attendance, but hopefully we'll still find one or two. Look forward to seeing you.

Anyone looking out of the window and thinking they don't much fancy it?

Forecast for Sunday is dry all day, a light NE breeze and a positively balmy 7 degrees!

Good to meet John and see a few others I haven't ridden with for a few months. Thanks for coming along, everybody.
