Sunday 23 Sept bike needed

Post by slogfester » 28 Aug 2018 00:03

I'm making a flying visit to little england. IF I don't get too legless at one of the two weddings I'm attending, I might be able to make the club ride on Sun 23 Sept. I won't have a bike, but will arrive (via the Italian Alps) armed with pedals, helmet and even a saddle. So, can anyone lend me a bike for that Sunday? I ride a 56 cm frame. (Short fat hairy legs, long body). I could either pick it up the day before or even meet you at the BH.
Thanks
Barry

Barry, I'm not very conveniently located for you, and I suspect that my bikes may not be ideal for you, but if you're stuck for a better option, drop me a line. That day, I will be riding tandem with Roger, but could bring a spare bike into B'ham.

Barry I can't help as my bikes are usually small (50/51) but my latest is a 49! You have no idea what short legs really are. Hope to catch you when you are over.

Hi Barry. I should be able to help you out here as I have spare bike in your size. Give me a call or messgage & we can arrange collection day before, cheers Martin.

Thanks all. In the end i was able to access my bike, and put it together, minus a few bits, so assuming they're not critical (who needs that crank arm preload plastic cap anyway!), i hope to get out for a club ride.
