Training
Club members who are committed to racing may find the club's
sociable rides inappropriate to their needs when preparing
for specific events. So the Beacon seeks to support racing
members in various ways.
Regular spinning classes
are organised throughout the winter. Spinning classes are
coached indoor sessions on static trainers. In addition, the
Beacon's racers often get together for evening and weekend
'training bashes', some
of which involve riders from several clubs.
Finally, the club has a number of BC-registered coaches,
who can be consulted for personal advice. If you would like
to be put in touch with one of our coaches, please contact
us. In addition, informal advice is always available from
the many experienced riders at the club, who include men and
women who have won national titles and other prestigious events.
The best starting point for informal advice is the message
board.
However here are some links to training sites which you may
find useful:
The above list is a shared information resource compiled
by individual members and friends of Beacon RCC for their
mutual interest. Beacon RCC does not endorse or reprove the
services offered by any of the coaches listed.
