Re: New cafe suggestions

The Crown at Martley has recently re-opened after refurbishment, and now has a café area. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and looks easy to park bikes within sight. Food/ambience and prices slightly on the posh/high side for a cycling café, but nothing extreme. Open until 12 noon on Sundays. G...

Dave, it looks as if your route is a roughly two-thirds/one-third split, implying a relatively late cafe stop, maybe 11:30 at D pace. Does that sound about right? (I'm just considering the pros and cons of meeting your group at the cafe or one of the others.)

I was intrigued by this post, since I've cycled in Drenthe a number of times, and can't recall ever seeing a gradient there more challenging than the gentle ramps you get where a minor road bridge crosses a river, motorway or railway. But yes, indeed, it turns out that VAM is a waste processing comp...

The Big Café Rendezvous is back! They'll be roughly the end of each calendar quarter. Number 3 will be linked...

It's good to have a discussion on the topic of when to cancel club runs. I can only express a personal view, which is that I don't like dictats in general, and I don't like this proposed dictat in particular. And surely *all* club runs are "at own risk"?
