I am probably going to do this. Its a good course and it should be fun riding racing under flood lights. I think it could be quite competitive tough as there will be some riders who need only a few points to move up a category before the season ends.
Was a great ride by Sean, who nearly managed to stay away for the entire race along with another rider. I tried to chase them down when they broke away but they were absolutely storming! To get 5th after that 2-up is awesome. We both have the Midlands regional championships this Sunday which is goin...
Well done, sounds like you had fun. I was thinking of doing some races on that course, but the mention of inevitable pile-ups puts me off somewhat! I've heard other people mention its a hazardous course too....
Another second place in an extremely windy 70 mile road race (cats 2/3/4) near Shrewsbury yesterday morning. Only about a third who started, finished. I attacked on the first of the two final accents and gained a small lead but then blew up and another rider flew past me and I wasn't able to hold hi...
I raced in the Two Counties road race on Sunday 7th April. After a failed attempt of a break on lap two of the 50 mile course, I attacked again at the start of lap three and escaped with two others (Joe Atkins and Phil Hinch) who were both willing to share the work load to build up a maximum gap of ...
Before the very unfortunate incident in the Elite race down in South Gloucestershire on 3rd March there was a support race for 3rd category riders only. The race was an easy 27 miles (4 laps of a 10km circuit) featuring a nasty climb to the finish. Not only were points being awarded for placing but ...
Bring them on, its all i've been wating for all winter. I plan on doing lots of racing and TT's this season. First one i'm going for is the 41st Severn RR down in Bristol and then the Evesham Wheelers RR in Inkberrow a couple of weeks after. Will be doing the Stourbridge CC RR and the Halesowen RR t...
Cheers for the tip, thankfully the nurse im seeing is doing a really good job with the dressing. The frame is aluminium and has two large dents in the top tube, no other noticeable damage. Will need a new rear rim for sure and possibly rear derailleur though haven't inspected it thoroughly since Sun...
Thanks for the concern, yes my bike took a beating :(. Im not too sure if its safe to ride, probably wont be racing on it again thats for sure. As for me, im still healing, major road burns down my arms and legs and am covered in bandages at present. Im not going to lie it hurts, but I feel lucky as...
Thanks, I was so pumped that I won, never won anything before (that I can remember) and been feeling so good since . Just cant wait to race again. Thanks for hosting the event it was a really fun evening.
