I'm riding fairly late but you can stick it in mine if that's any use.

If you want to hang about I can offer you a lift home too.

Didn't get in on the Merthyr event . Perhaps entering under my pet name of Edward 1st of England was not such a good idea. There is a Worcester st johns 25 on the same day so I've entered that instead . That one closes tomorrow I've still not heard about it :( In other news the Midlands events page...

I have entered the Little Mountain TT via the CTT website. I just wondered whether there was a link to the rules for "roadman" entry - I remember it somewhere on the Beacon site but I can't find it. I just want to be sure that any of my aero slipperyness will not void entry into this classification...

Hi Martin, Something I saw a few other clubs running is a Season Ticket for their time trials. It seems a good idea as you get payment up front and I don't need to find three quid every week :) That's interesting John, which clubs are doing it so I can investigate it? Worcester St Johns was the one...

CTT National Hillclimb 2016

The weekend Jessica Rhodes-Jones, second claim member Ollie Hayward, ex-Beacon member Richard Bussell and myself all competed at the national hill climb. This year the course was Bank Road in the centre of Matlock. Richard came 7th and was sadly unable to defend his title. Jess finished a very respe...

There are some interesting suggestions here: most of my TTing has been down to the encouragement of Jess. For standard turn up and race crits the idea might work, but not as well for events you have to enter in advance (always my downfall!) It would be nice if we could use the official Facebook page...

I've started to try to use the Beacon Facebook page to share more regular news about people's race results, starting with Stu's win this week and news of the National 10. Anyone can view the page - no need to have a Facebook account (we could probably find a way to embed the feed on the front page ...

In terms of organisation it would be good if we could work together to enter events and pool cars etc. Especially road races where we start and finish together, unlike a TT where you can have an hour or more between competitors. Pete is correct in that Facebook and mainly Strava are how I get most o...

John Hunt did it in 1min10 and won the Redditch hill climb here last year I think, would be good to see how the Academy stars compare! Local lad Gerard Henry won his age group last year too.
