Hi all, here are all the things we discussed and agreed at December's AGM, all distilled into 20 lines.
Happy to hear any comments you might have.
AGM Actions on one line
1. Beacon finances have been audited and agreed
2. Our financial reserves are healthy, ideas please!
3. A new Beacon community group will take over the BC Guided Rides/Intro rides.
4. We will retain the club account RideWithGPS for another year..
5. The new volunteer points system has now started (see separate details).
6. We will continue Academy training events at Ackers and Moseley School in 2025.
7. We will have a series of race nights leading up to and following FNTL at Halesowen.
8. We will train adults in fixed wheel riding in summer, and have bikes for you to borrow
9. We need someone to take up the role of academy ride buddy (role details available).
10. Is there someone interested/motivated to take over as Communications secretary?
11. Committee to consider using an external specialist for a social media and communications overhaul.
12. …but, can any Beacon member do this or know someone who could?
13. Seek volunteers to replace Steve Smith on Message Board maintenance/refresh and Laurence as communications secretary.
14. Beacon to promote simplified TT schedule, but full promotion of LMTT as a National event..
15. Beacon to organise 3 calendar audaxes in 2025.
16. Club run points will now be given for Sunday Beacon Zwift rides, but only when weather is too severe for outdoor riding.
17. Another first aid course and refresher course will be organised in 2025.
18. George to seek new organisers for 2025 Dinner committee.
19. Sue Kelly has been nominated as a new vice-president.
20. Next AGM pencilled for the first Thursday in December 2025
