When? Sunday 13th April 14:00 – 16:00 please arrive at 13:30 if you are borrowing bikes and all riders no later than 13:45 so the session can start promptly.
Who? Open to club members – adults and academy. Track accredited coach Dave Feiven will lead the session.
What? A training session on an outdoor velodrome
Why? This is a great opportunity to have a go at riding at a specialist cycling venue. Adult riders will learn fixed wheel skills. Academy riders will gain confidence riding their normal bike on a banked track.
What equipment do I need? All riders. Helmet. Gloves. Appropriate clothing [you will get a Bike, Helmet and Clothing Checklist (PDF) when you book] drink and food to keep you going.
Adults: you will need a working fixed wheel track bike. If you do not have your own, they can be borrowed from the venue at a cost of £5 for the session.
Academy riders: you will need a working freewheel (normal) bike. If you do not have your own, or can’t bring them they can be borrowed at no charge – but please book in advance.

How much? Free for club members. Adult hire bikes are available for £5 and must be booked in advance.

What if it is wet? Please keep an eye on your e mail, the club and academy facebook pages. The session cannot take place if the track is wet. An alternative date will be scheduled.
