Did you know that blood stocks in the UK are low.
I would like to encourage anyone who is willing and able to give blood. The whole process takes about an hour or less from start to finish. Giving blood takes around 10 mins or less (6 mins is my quickest time) and you get a drink and biscuit afterwards.
If you are concerned about how you feel afterwards, personally I’ve found I don’t feel any different and it does not adversely affect my cycling when riding the day afterwards.
Appointment centres are located in various places, to book an appointment go to:-

You might help save a life or need a pint or two yourself one day.

Re: Blood donation
Totally Agree SI
I give blood every 12 weeks, as that's the minimum wait time between donations, and been doing it for over 2 and a half years
Painless, very quick and the nurses get to know your face and have a nice chat with you
Plus you are helping someone, you even get a text to say where the blood was used, one text i got said my pint of blood was used in Sheffield A & E Dept, so i may have saved someone's life

Re: Blood donation
Perhaps we should have a ‘Beacon Points for Pints’ league?

Re: Blood donation
Thanks for the reminder, Si. I did this for the first time in ages today.
