Creatine Supplementation

Has anyone had experience of using creatine monohydrate supplementation with cycling?
I recently read an article in the Guardian which refers to published journal articles reporting benefits for high intensity or ‘explosive’ training and some potential benefits for endurance training, It seems to have been tested in weight lifters and sprinters rather than endurance sports. Additional reported potential benefits are for improvement in cognition and muscle loss in the elderly.
I'd be interested to know if anyone has tried it and whether they found any benefit or detriment for any mode of cycling.
