For anyone going out tonight on this route, New Town lane was closed to traffic this morning as the council are repairing and gritting the road.
Suggest turn left up Yew Tree lane, right on to Pound Lane, right onto Frankley Hill Lane, right onto Boleyn Road and a final right at the junction with New Inns Lane will bring you back onto the original route once over the motorway bridge.
