Thanks Mariana for a brilliant club ride.

Apologies for riding off without saying goodbye.

Looking forward to the next one.

It’s very nice Dave. The Reynolds 653 frame is compliant smoothing out the bumps. Everything works flawlessly. The rear 8 speed 13-23 cassette isn’t brilliant I must admit but I’m planning to swap this for one with wider ratios.

I would encourage anyone to experience vintage steel….maybe organise a L’eroica club ride sometime??

Great idea we've done something like that in the past. George has a suitable bike. Mind you I don't think those integrated gear/brake levers (excellent though they are) were available when we had those Shimano 600 brakes. My bikes at that period had down tube levers and some of us used bar end levers. Not that it matters unless you are a purist
