CLUB RUN POINTS - FINAL SCORES FOR THE 23/24 SEASON

We present to you the final scores for the Club Run trophy this season. The season runs from the 1st October 2023 to the end of September 2024, and the table below shows everyone who has ridden at least one club run. Hats off to this years winner, Paul Balfe...fully deserved and led in many weeks, with Mick Stanford and Mariana Sorrill also on the podium, with all of them leading over 15 times. Well done all, and some other stats are below:

- There were 133 different people who rode at least one club run, although 29 people only rode once, including the winner of the club run trophy for the last two years, Cedric Gioan...hurry back, Cedric!

- We only had 12 people who led 5 times or more, so we haven't improved in increasing the number of regular leaders. I am at a loss on how to increase this and would love to see more riders leading - we have surveyed people for the reasons, and addressed many of the key issues including making route choice easier through our club account RidewithGps, but at the end of the day, it is still dependent on people just having that volunteering gene, I guess.

- There were 1,058 riders in the 48 weeks of club run weekends, at an average of 22 riders per week, similar to last year.

- 18% of all club riders were female, so this also remains similar to last year.
