The sun was out, three rides were posted early and the riders came out, over 35 on the 3 rides...great stuff and thanks to Nick Shenton, Simon Woodward and Pete Norman, three sturdy, tweed wearing gentlemen of the Midlands intelligentsia. Excellent hokum on the A-Ride, me and Vince missing the meet point and haring after the group, but driven on by some fast guys, we had no chance of catching them up, so met up at the cafe for sparkling conversation and laughs. Good to see Andys Terry and Wrightson out, the latter probably ignoring the wise advice of our resident orthopaedic surgeon on the ride

Ok, so who's going to the Dinner and awards night on Saturday November 16th?...now I know some of you can't, but many will be undecided, but please err on the side of 'yes'! It's at the Black Horse, it'll be informal and will celebrate the club's achievements this year, and most of your mates will be going, so please come along, have a glass of wine, a slice of pizza and enjoy a relaxed evening.
Oh, and the October Beacon Bulletin slammed into your inboxes this morning. Get a coffee and a slice of victoria sponge and have a quick read...especially the excellent tributes to Roger Shayes and June Raw (better known to us as June Pitchford). If you haven't seen it, check your junk or spam folders, but it was sent out this morning to all Beacon members.
Short one this week... but have fun on Halloween and see you on a club run or dinner evening soon.
Phil
