C ride Sunday 16th march - 100km for a picture with a Vulcan Bomber (hopefully)

09:15 start.

Going to cycle to Wellsbourne Airfield on Sunday. Bit of an Engineering geek, and they have a Vulcan Bomber. C ride pace. I’m riding around 22km/h at the moment (13-14mph) so happy to run the ride. But we’ll ride at the pace of the slowest rider (which will probably be me…).

The ride takes in a new cycleway from Ingon to Stratford-upon-Avon which was good a few weeks ago.

I haven’t been to Touchdown Cafe before, but shows as open and good reviews.

Hi Ian

I'll join you tomorrow. Never seen the Volcan, so that will be a first.

Ian,

Just a note of caution that the cafe does get very busy on a Sunday with motorcyclists. There is seating outside but if it's cold and windy it's less than ideal to be honest

The good news is that there is a cafe in the garden centre about a mile away in Charlecote.

Thanks Alan. I was thinking that as a second option. Never been and really going for the plane 🙂. Thanks for the heads up.

It's a good job that Gemma ("Is Everyone at the Beacon Called Dave?") Johnson isn't around to comment on the developing Simon W story.
