Sunday 8th June @ 9:15 - B run to Kenilworth
I'll lead a B run to Kenilworth: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49464487
Departing from the Black Horse at 9:15 promptly.
This is 53 miles and as its is a relatively flat route I would expect the overall pace to be around 15 to 16 mph. Having said that, the actually pace will be set by the slowest rider.
We will stop at the "Coffee on the Corner" or "Ardens Coffee", dependent amongst other things as to which has room for us.
On the return leg, we will use the Kenilworth Greenway. This has a better surface than some of the roads around there, we just need to avoid pedestrians.
I would recommend bringing a bike lock.
On the ride incident free ride today:
Phil Gameson (L)
David Hill
Leigh Hopkins
Andy McGrath
Ewan Ross
Si Walker
Si Woodward
[Chris Ankorn defected to the C run.]
Thanks to everybody for a very enjoyable ride (for me at least) today - though Kenilworth itself was heaving due to the "Two Castles Run" that ended there.
I didn't actually spend much time at the front and the pace was relatively brisk - especially considering the head wind on the way back.
