I seem to be on the distribution list for West Mids road events - but some folks might be interested to know about this:

Hi all,

We have been working for some time to bring a new venue onto the calendar in the West Midlands. After a few hurdles and hoops, at last we have a test event planned for 21st July 2012. The event is now registered (see link below) and on line entry will be open at the start of this coming week. We have kept the programme of races to a manageable number for this first event but there are opportunities for Youth A & B riders, a dedicated Women only race and the morning of races concludes with a Regional B 3rd and 4th Category race.

We need to hit specific rider numbers to make the event work so keep your eye on the event for when the on line entry is open and available and get your entry sorted in advance.

We have come up with a great 2.5 mile circuit around the base for this event. This is a fantastic opportunity to race on good quality, wide roads which will be completely free of other traffic – no crossing the white line issues here, you are free to use the full road width!

We have had a few volunteers step forward but we are still looking for a number of volunteers from local clubs to help out on the day so if you are not racing, are available and would like to see this new venue in operation then please get in touch with name and contact details.

Any further queries then do not hesitate to contact me or the named organiser, the region’s RCA, Carl Robinson.

Regards,
Keith

Nice one - Oliver has entered and will speak to Gregory to see if interested (once the bike has been rebuilt). Simon
