Well. it was a bit windy - but at least it didn't rain!

Interesting pool swim in that you swam 4 lengths in 1 lane, ducked under the rope, swam 4 in the next and then under the rope for 4 more in the final lane. I took it steady. Cycle course was fairly flat with one long drag in there. Pleased that only 1 person overtook me on the bike - and that was just for a sharp downhill bit - I passed him again once it flattened out / went upwards. Run was 2 laps out and back mainly on grass / paths. I was overtaken by a few here - must work on the running!

Male Sprint result: 116 out of 499 in a time of 01:20:58.

Swim 400m: 00:09:00
Bike 23km: 00:46:48
Run 5k: 00:25:10

All in all a good and reasonably local event. Might do this again next year.

Well done, Steve. Where was the course?

(Southam swim was 4 lengths x 4 lanes too, and you counted your own lengths)

Thanks Andy, it was around Stratford on Avon: pool at Stratford Leisure and Visitor Centre, Bridgefoot, Stratford-upon-Avon.
And yes, we counted our own lengths too. Up to 4 is difficult to get wrong though so no problem there!

Well done, Steve. I've watched a bit of the Stratford Tri, which seems to attract a wide range of competitors: made me smile at the variations in parked bikes, from top tri machines to tourers!
