RESULT: Shrewsbury Crits

I was feeling cautious for good reason during the warm up laps round this tight circuit today. It turned out to be a bit of a shit fest. 4 crashes in all. Thankfully my plan to get up near the front and just stay there paid off as all I could make out periodically were shouts and the sound of bikes / bodies colliding and hitting the deck. I totally overcooked my kick in the final S bend whilst in 2nd place, leaving the circuit and winding up in a shallow ditch!! ... sheer luck and momentum found me back in the front bunch and holding on for 6th place, 4 more points, a move up to cat 3 and £10 prize money!
