Another chance to improve your time on this circuit. If anybody wants to marshal on the first bend it would be much appreciated. [/img]

Harry, why don't you ride it ?
It's a great course, safe and it's a really nice atmosphere.
You should give it a go.

Not planning to ride it really, last time I did a TT I busted my rear mech clean off! a penalty of £40 soon followed :(
Also I am just finishing recovering from a cold(sniffles have just about gone) so no high intensity riding for me until I am 100% over the cold ,or I could reignite the cold for longer!, then get newmonia! not the path which I intend to go, the way in which cycling treats your body isn't the kindest so I intend to learn from my mistakes, but I will ride it in the future! :)

Wouldn't mind giving this ago. What's the elevation like?

It's not pan flat, Gary, but there are only a few gentle rises to get over the motorway.

Thats very true, would just like to get a half decent time on first run out.

Because it's a circuit, you'll experience the wind from all directions, so it will cancel itself out to some extent. Also, you don't want to go too fast the first time in case you don't leave room for improvement next week!

I like your thinking, give myself something to aim for at least! What time does the whole thing usually finish, just wondering whether to take lights or not.

Last week, I left for home at 8, after waiting to hear the results and chat. Some people ride with a rear light in time trials regardless of the time.

Thanks for stepping in to timekeep again, Richard, and to Harry for marshalling.

Looks like no one improved on last week's time then? Not really surprising - that headwind on the back straight was horrible.

comparing to last weeks times it looks like everyone is around 40 seconds slower tonight apart from those on TT bikes so hopefully be able to improve next week!

An eye-catching ride by Martin. (And by our winning guest, of course.)

Many thanks to Harry for marshalling & especially to Richard for sacrificing his own ride at last moment to timekeep when he realised we were without. Just out of interest is there a rota for timekeeping & marshalling these club time trials? I guess we'd all rather be riding but maybe some of us who enjoy participating need to think about stepping up & volunteering (in advance) to take a turn so these events can be run.

My thoughts would be that when being responsible for evening time trials make sure first that timekeeper is checked on.
Martin is coming on fast.
