Thanks to the organisers,I think I enjoyed that.
Dave, can I just check my time - I thought you had initially announced me at a 3.24 so adding a minute would have been 4.24 - which would tally with my garmin. Not that it really matters but would be nice to know for next year.
Thanks,
Gareth

Congratulations to everyone who made it up, but especially to Richard on his overall win, to John on his Beacon champs win and to Roger Thorpe on a performance that is really very impressive for a man in his seventies.

I'm sorry. I have now corrected your time - it was a typographical error

Well done Richard with another cracking time & to Beacon's new hill climb champion John Hunt.
I think my time was actually 4:02 rather than 4:42? It makes the difference as I can then say I beat Beacon Hill Climb legend John Hitchcock!
Great event as always, thanks to all for organising, timekeeping, pushing off, catering & coming along to support us on the course.

Three cyclists without numbers went past me (halfway up the hill) between numbers 2 and 4. The 2nd & 3rd thought I was a madman when I clapped and cheered but the first (who had an open red jacket) didn't seem to so was probably Ryan. In future, leave your jacket with someone at the bottom.

In any time trial number should always be visible to timekeepers, also good to shout rider number out when crossing line (although this is really difficult when you've given everything on the course). Out of interest Ryan do you know what sort of time you did?

yes it was me with the red jacket on. its a lesson learnt for future events as this was my first ever event. rookie error

That is a very minor rookie error! Unless you were faster than John or Richard?!

I've still got the times in the watches and Martin was second person up the hill showing at 4:02.
Well done on a lot of speedy times today. Thanks for coming out and supporting this event and all the events across the summer. See you all out there next year.
