RESULT: Climb on Bikes Cat 3/4 Hereford 27/5/12

4 Beacons were representing on a very warm Sunday morning-Me. Mike, Lee and Sean.
It was quite a nice route-57 miles over 3.5 laps. There were a couple of lumps and it also ended on a up hill bit. There was a lot of stop starting but the field of 80 was whittled down to about 60 by the end-may be even less.
With about half a lap to go there was lots of attacks with one rider breaking from the front. Sean managed to break as well on his own and join him. They worked together and Sean ended up 2nd-a very good result.
Lee and Mike were about 16/17th. I ended up in the 20s somewhere. I started to cramp at the end as I didn't drink enough. I also eneded up at the front and in the wind too much at the end so didn't have the kick for the sprint. However, I felt my positioning as a lot better for this race.
First race this season for me without any crashes as well. Well done the Beacons!

Yes Sean's off to a cracking start this season well every body seems to be.
There is a real buzz this year with so many Becon members racing road and TT.
Great to see as we even have two juniors this season with Greg & Ed.
