When do entries open?
Who is doing it?
Could be some really good Beacon performances if Clare, Jessica, Rich, Sean and John etc start.
I wonder if I could get any nearer to that seemingly impossible 2 hour mark!?
I understand it is now categorised with "Classic" status, does this mean Bradley, Tony and Fabian will be entering?

I am sure one of them will turn up this year, sadly not all three as that would mean two of them loosing and they have agreed to ensure this doesn't happen.....

Do you like riding as hard as you can against the clock? Would you like to race up really tough hills, swoop down thrilling descents and roll along leafy-green Worcestershire roads in the spring? If so then we have the event for you:
The most friendly, exciting and enjoyable event on the time trialling calendar.
Entries are open on the CTT website. This is a big event for the Beacon. Members are encouraged to either ride or Help out.
John Hitchcock is the organiser.

... and as I'll be riding, nobody needs to use the excuse of "thinking they'll finish last" as a reason for not entering either.
There is no secret ingredient

Clare, Jess, John, Stu, Andrew, Nick, Toby etc. get yourself entered. None of this "I don't like TTs" or "Im no good at climbing"! It has to be done. Fact.
Clare, I hope you aren't in Paris this weekend? Big cash prizes with your name on it again I think!

Do you mean a Beacon skinsuit, John? If so, I can't help.
However, I do have a plain red skinsuit (size L) that has only been used twice and is unlikely to ever be used again. You are welcome to borrow it for the LMTT and, if you like it, make me an offer. It's about three years old and cost about £100 new, I think.

I won't be racing, but I might pop down with the camera to capture the faces of pain going up the Ankerdine....

Skinsuits are allowed. Wheels must have at least 15 spokes. Obviously no tri bars. No aero helmets.

Great post today to come home to with the entry booklet arriving.
Fantastic work John on it again.
Good to see so many Beacon entries, worried I'm going to be the last finisher though!
The target times are interesting, bet Matt Regan is looking forward to posting a 1hr40 time!?

John, if anyone does loan you a skinsuit then make sure that it is in Beacon or plain colours such as the version offered by George. Riders wearing the colours of another team are forbidden at open time trials.
If you are unable to obtain a skinsuit, another option is to wear a compression top over your bibs. Looks a bit naff but it will be aerodynamic.

Apologies for delay - computer needed to be brought back to life following a nasty virus. A lot of PB's on a fast day meant that those who had their times restricted due to estimated times perhaps got less points than hoped. Paddy recorded a huge PB of almost 14 mins and therefore grabbed 40 points. Special mention to Keith who after all that effort actually managed to equal his PB exactly!
