Track Races  Beacon
does not have its own cycle track. However, once a year we hire a local track
to organise a club track championship. The track championship is quite an occasion,
with numerous competitors and usually a fair crowd of spectators. To take part,
you need to be a member of the club and have access to a fixed wheel track bike
(it is no longer possible to hire bikes for racing at the track).
Other
club track sessions are organised on an ad hoc basis, usually once or twice a
year. When a session is planned, the details will be announced on the Message
Board. Beacon members can also take part in open track leagues. If you would like
