The Beacon Little Mountain TT is this year moving to the
famous Shelsley Walsh Motor Racing Hill Climb venue. The course
will cover the same basic route as previous years, but will
be modified to accommodate the start outside the new headquarters,
and the sting in the tail, the finish at the top of the famous
hill climb.
Heavy traffic is unlikely to be an issue but there are challenging
hills and fast, undulating roads to engage the mind and ensure
focus is sustained.
On September 12th 2007 the Tour of Britain came to Worcestershire
and took in some of the same route as the Little Mountain
TT, including the famous ascent of Ankerdine. For a bit of
fun we timed the lead group as they climbed Ankerdine and
have compared their time with the fastest times recorded in
the Little Mountain TT [details].
